However, before the advent of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8955252\/\">the Industrial Revolution<\/a>, asbestos\u2019s applications seemed limited to the creation of novelty products, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asbestosclaims.law\/asbestos-blog\/what-is-environmental-asbestos-exposure\/\">fireproof tablecloths and heat-resistant overcoats<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the Industrial Revolution, factories across Europe found themselves in sudden need of inexpensive insulating materials. Asbestos deposits were aggressively identified and mined, with bonded fibers used to fabricate heat-resistant machinery, pipes, and boiler ducts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asbestos production in the United States was, in contrast, somewhat delayed.
